The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has participated in the public consultation on palliative care coordinated by Health Canada which is in response to the passing of Bill C-277- An Act providing for the Development of a Framework on Palliative Care in Canada.

There are 8 English-speaking parishes in the Diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil which are grouped together as the Saint John Paul II Pastoral Unit and the Saint Francis Xavier Mission in Kahnawake.

6th Anniversary of Canonization of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha

October 19th, 20th and 21st 2018


Friday 19th:  Indigenous Voices and Visions 

 This project is a creation of the new multimedia orchestral theater work honouring the life and legacy of St. Kateri Tekakwitha combining forces with the McGill Chamber orchestra, Odawa composer Barbara Croal, Mohawk writer Darren Bonaparte, Indigenous Columbian Stage Director Alejandro Ronceria, visual artist Issac Rayment of MRVS.io and the Community of Kahnawake.

7:30 pm            St. Francis Xavier Mission

Ticket Prices:    $35   General Admission

                         $22   65yrs. and over

Saturday 20th: Remembering Missing Indigenous Peoples and all missing peoples

 This year we remember Tiffany Morrison from Kahnawake who went missing on June 18th, 2006. Her remains were found 4 years later in 2010 in Kahnawake.  May Tiffany rest in the peace of Christ though the intercession of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha.

6:00 pm: Gather at Church to Old Train Station! (Car Pool)

With lighted candles walk to Tiffany’s Memorial while praying the Rosary
